Resistencia and Puerta Iguazu, Argentina

After a night journey and a day stop over in Resistencia i was pretty recked to say the least, i grabbed the local bus around the town and was suprised to see a horse and cart outside the town. I knew there wouldnt be much to see so i decided a day stop over would be adequate, my mother found it hillarious that i had no accomodation so she suggested i caught up on some snooze time in the park. Just for the craic i took her up literally and did so.
The park security lads were mezmorised that i was traveling solo around Latin America and thought the total cost was obscene, they kept an eye out for any trouble which was not really needed but nice to have. Also joined a group of students for Mate, which i have grown to like but sugar is still necessary.
The city is covered in sculptures randonly placed around the parks and streets, its really quite a pretty little town which still has that friendly country/rural feeling.
So i hit another nihgtly bus which arrived as usual quite early in the morning. I organised accomodation in Puerta Iguazu, cleaned up and got to the waterfalls nice and early.
I met another nice South African called Claudia from Cape Town and with the Volvo boat race being in Galway recently and last time i saw it i was in Cape Town in November.
To say the least "Awesome" is the only word to describe :)

  3. Hi hi

have arrived in London today and will start the search for a home tomorrow... after 4 months off it is really weird to have to join the rest of the world again but I suppose its about time.

The pics are great, but Argentina looks alot more developed than the other countries you've been in... ie I could see myself visiting. The other places were amazing but if I hadn't been able to follow your blog, I'd have bought some David Attenborough DVDs ... hate hate hate creepy crawlies.

    hugs Jen
