The Guatemala & San Salvador Adventure

So i spent few days in Antigua Guatemala and went up the Pacaya volcanoe, its a typical tourist adventure and i strongly reccomend it, get a feel for the live lava by watching the videos, great craic. I lost my stick in the lava but a guy grabbed it out for me, we made toast, marshmellows and a beer on the volcanoe, check out the videos its hillarious. We walked down at night so got to see the sun set which was cooll. Thanks for comments guys, lol meand lots of laughs and for more lessons il be charging ha ha. great to see ive got few followers, spread the word.

Yesterday we made our way to Guatemala city and had been warned that "its not safe enough to chill on the street and have a beer," with that said we decided to stroll around little market and we would move through the city and go to El Salvador.

We met a nice guy from El Salvador and he suggested we stay on the bus and go to the city and have a night out, as they are having elections and its very tight so will be a good night. We found a hotel Casa Australia, gave him a buss and headed out. A few people had warned us to keep our heads low on sunday as there could be trouble.... we should be fine though.

So we headed out to a Mall/shopping centre and its full of young people, no tourists so pretty cool, they all have bars and two night clubs upstairs so fairly different. After meeting our new amigo friends we decidedc we would head home as no drink is surved after 12 for Saturday due to the elections.

Myself and Jamie (guy on the right) decide we will go for a stroll around the corner from hotel, pretty stupid but we wanted the night to go on so we would get some food. Jon stayed in hotel and off we went. 3 guys attacked us with the intentions of mugging us, 2 grabbed me and i managed to break free, Jamie was being knecked locked against wall and they guys were pretending to have knives(i grabbed there hands as knew they were bluffing :) ) so i grab Jamies guy and then we threw him into a tree, maaged to not fall over and we ran to the garage. After screaming at a tax driver we went around the block, the muggers were on the street corner and we got inside to tell the story lol, wow that was such a rush, wohoo.

When we got back to tell our story we met three guys who are here to video news coverage on the El Salvador elections so you might get some good fottage on sky news over the next few days. Today we will head into town with the news guys from Nicaragura and they gave us a heavy warning last night that we were lucky once so dont let it happen a second time. Dont worry guys il be fine.
