Parque Nacional Los Nevados, Manziles

I was already feeling the alitude in Manziles so i decided to visit the Colombian Andes. We left earl this morning and set off for Parque Nacional Los Nevados. It was a fairly long journey and i nearly fell asleep on the jounrey due to a touch of altitude adjustment.
Well we finally got there and after bumping into the colombian special forces i had a 2km hike ahead of me.
It sounds pretyy simple eh...well let me tell ya...it was toughest climb ive ever done, reaching 5,036 meters is not an easy task, I have to take my hat off to army lads who had been climbing all day. A cople from Bogata gave me some ice with fruit Powerade and custard for dessert on the top of te mountain :)
After racing back down and starting to warm up again we used that volcano to our advantage and went to the comercialised Termales El Otono which is fairly close to Manziles. It is full of sulfer but its like a huge warm bath and i loved it. Check out the views below from the hot springs.
